Over the past ten years Sally has gained recognition in the United States for her scenes of coastal life. Her work hangs in prominent public, private and museum collections across the country, most notably The White House and the Smithsonian Institution.
Born and raised in the mid-west, Sally Caldwell Fisher was given watercolors at an early age by her Mother, also an artist and was always provided with good materials to work with. After graduating form the University of Michigan in 1972, Caldwell Fisher moved to coastal New England where she has been painting her favorite subjects ever since. An avid collector of antique photographs and reproductions, she is constantly finding inspiration in, and therefore, keeps an eye to the past.
