Lee Mitchelson has found her artistic answer. Formerly represented by a leading art gallery in Sedona, she has since, by choice, gone her own way. She says: "Any creative person can get to a point in life where creativity, demand and personal motivation collide. I have been a rescuer of animals since I was old enough to recognize their vulnerability, and now I have the freedom to fully focus on my one true lifelong purpose as a painter.....using my art to help fund causes that fight the many forms of neglect and brutality shown to animals".
Lee has her limited editions and originals in the collections of many notables including Ben Stein, Robert Vavra ( and illustrated two of Mr.Vavra's books), William Shatner, The Wrigley Estate, The Estate of James A. Michener, Dee Dee Wrigley, Mrs. E. I. DuPont and many more. Lee is one of the original Charter Members of the National Museum of Women in the Arts and has art in the permanent collection of the Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History.
